After saying goodbye to Iceland, our first destination was Paris, which we were both visiting for the first time. It is easy to say it is one of our favourite cities in Europe. This is truly a city for lovers, on every corner you will find romantic restaurants and cute café’s where the tables are definitely not meant for more then two. It was quite common to see couples “french” kissing in public, a sight rarely seen in our home country. We really enjoyed that liberal feel. In Paris we stayed with Kiddi, a good friend of Andri’s , who’s finishing his PhD in physics in Paris. Kiddi is on of the nicest and welcoming guys you’ll meet. Kiddi showed us the main sights, the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Notre-Dame, and the lovely Montmarte neighbourhood. We often used rental bikes to cross distances, a cheap and an easy choice to see the city. You can find self service bike station all across the city. The rental bikes If travelling on a budget we recommend a visit to the local supermarket instead of the pricy restaurants. This is one of the priciest cities in Europe.
